Thanks OP.

Anyone know if this would be suitable as a drive for media, plugged directly into a router? E.g., to play content on a networked TV/computer.

Should be fine if used directly with the TV. This flash drive looks good on paper for network applications, but that will depend on if your router has a USB 3 Gen 1 port or not.

You might have to re-format it it to NTFS but ya, it should work fine like that.

Good value drives.

Better performance than you'd expect at this price range.

I've bought them before.

i paid $27 a year ago. on long transfer it goes down to 18MB/s which isn't bad for the price.

Maybe they lowered it by a $1 because you will have to wait a while before it arrives?
