[Amazon.ca] Philips Indoor Smokeless Grill - $187.78 - Frustration Free Packaging

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B075MZR2JV

I purchased one of these grills back at the beginning of April for $275.40, and really liked this grill so much I wanted another one. I set a price alert for $200 just in case and got an email today, which led to me purchasing my second one of these excellent grills.

They work really great, not as hot as a propane grill but I'll take that over the hassle of refilling propane bottles. Our family has been really satisfied with the results. The only negative is they don't have the biggest cooking surface, which is why I wanted a second one.

The only difference with the FFP packaging is it's just in a plain cardboard box instead of a fancy box.

Probably, if you can do Korean BBQ on a regular propane outdoor grill, then you can do it on this. As long as 446F/230C is hot enough.

How hard is it to clean this? Not sure how I feel about heating up teflon that high

Bottom drip tray slides out and very easy to clean. Grill just sits on top and so can be taken off and cleaned easily too. The sides however are a bit harder to get at and clean - I just live with the small amount of grease marks on those parts of the grill.

Teflon issue is valid if you are sensitive or have animals that are sensitive (like birds), but haven’t noticed any chemical odours personally.
The grate is made of die cast aluminum with a non-stick coating. Since there are some discussions going on about the so called Teflon coating it is important to know that the Philips smokeless grill review showed that the non-stick coating is PTFE and free of PFOA. That seem to be the bad part in the older non stick products.

Have had this grill for a while now. Cooks things quickly and you get good grill marks. The problem is you really don't get the flavour of a traditional grill item because it doesn't provide that smokey flavour/taste. So basically what you get is a device that cooks your food and leaves nice grill marks on it.

I want this, but at the same time I don't have space for it, so I will resist.

I had an electric Weber for the balcony that was pretty useless, if this is also limited by the plug not sure how it can get hotted with no lid.. Is this actually any better than an air fryer or oven? You don't taste grill marks...

I too have one, loves using hate cleaning.

I use the magic eraser to clean the infrared sides with amazing results. Not perfect but livable.
