Awesome pens, good price.

I haven't tried the 0.5 before, but I like the 0.38mm so much that I used to buy refills for it back when I write a lot at work.

My link here isn't a "deal" but I highly recommend getting the limited edition and using the .038mm or .5mm refills for it. I have a couple and just keep getting refills. I prefer .038 but the ball point seems to wear out prior to the ink running out on them compared to the .5mm.

The real deal is to get one at Target in the US if you happen to be going there but you only need to buy one to refill.

5 pack is pretty much the same price per pen.

I use this for some design work and it's always smudging (0.7mm). Do the 0.5mm or 0.38mm have that problem as well?

I do love how smooth it feels on paper though.

Here are 3 squiggles from my .5mm Pilot G2

I dragged my finger across the ink.

Top one is immediately after writing.
Middle is after 5 seconds
Bottom is after 10 seconds.

This is super helpful, thanks so much! This is about the same performance with the 0.7mm.

Thinking maybe a Uniball Signo or Pentel EnerGel might be better for the smudge factor. Have you any experience with these?

Sorry I don't understand, why would I get the limited edition pen? It's $20 for a gel pen... You can buy the normal pens listed and replace the cartridges with Mont Blanc roller ball refill.

The limited edition looks nicer, feels nicer, and is made of metal. You can get either the Pilot G2 refills or the Monte blanc.

Like I said, if wasn’t a “deal”, it was just about having a nicer pen that uses the same refills mentioned.

I love these pens (0.5mm tip). I used them all through university. I would get them from our bookstore or Amazon. I never see them anywhere else locally.

The Pilot Juice 0.5 is noticeably better IMO; refills fit G2 barrel

And the Zebra Sarasa gel is loved by left-handers for it's virtually instant drying

Yeah, have heard the same about the Zebra Sarasa. Probably will wait to try them out at a store and see for myself.
