Just keep in mind that only FAT32 formatted USB devices are recognized by the Fire TV operating system. This translates to max 4GB size for any individual file, so high-bitrate 1080p videos are no-go on Fire TV Sticks over USB (but such file size restrictions do not apply to videos streamed from the internet or from a local networked media server).

Does this have a YouTube app? I read a while back about Google taking it off.

Official YouTube app was just put back in.

Wished Fire stick 4k got the real Google Chromecast app because Aircast sucks.

I have a computer hooked up to my non-smart tv. Would I benefit from getting a Fire Stick?

IPTV, you'll love it. Not as great for the parents... and less tech savvy folks.

Well, the 4K comes with a 1A USB plug (5W), so unless your computer draws less than 5W you would already benefit from less power consumption :)

I have a computer hooked up to my TV. It doesn't have a video card or processor capable of decoding 4K so my Firestick works better. Depends how powerful or what content you are trying to watch. If 4K I'm sure your computer would be drawing quite a bit of power plus you would need a keyboard or mouse to control it. I have a mini keyboard/touchpad for my computer and it is still too large to have beside me.

Wondering this as well, though I figure you will save about $10 -$15 CDN on the 4K version, So might not be worth it unless your planning to go down the US or planning to buy alot of stuff from amazon.com to make it worth it.

I like to watch global news, I do it via firefox, has anyone tried if streaming stuff like this will work?

Also not sure how good this alexa works, but I am planning to install kodi on it, do I need some sort of keyboard?

Great use for the 15$ Amazon photo coupon.

Is there a way to replicate the data from a stick to another one? I've configured Kodi with a few add-on.

I've always wanted to try the Shield but ended up buying the FireStick 4K instead so I'm curious as to how better it is. I only have experience with the Stick and the MyGica Android box and for Kodi and IPTV, the Stick runs smoother but otherwise, not a huge difference.

The shield is probably overkill for Kodi and IPTV but it is very snappy and my go to device for streaming.
