[Amazon.ca] Prime Day: Zebra F-701 Ballpoint Stainless Steel Retractable Pen $5.30 - Lightning Deal

Amazon.ca Lightning Deal: Zebra F-701 Ballpoint Stainless Steel Retractable Pen, Fine Point, 0.7mm, Black Ink, 1-Count

This one is *ALL* stainless steel and is a pretty popular and affordable pen in the every day carry community. You used to have to mod this pen with another to get the all stainless steel effect, but this one comes that way right out of the package like the F-xMD model.

The reviews say it might have the plastic cap. I bought one anyway but I wish the FXMD was on sale

It's all about personal taste and aesthetics. I love the feeling of writing with a heavier pen. If you lend it momentarily to someone, they will definitely comment "nice pen". So it's just a personal choice. It's also harder to lose a more expensive pen because I find I'm more mindful of the investment versus a 50-cent pen.

This pen is much better build quality than anything else around the price other than the Parker jotter. Most people won't pay $5 for a pen but if you're into pens you'll understand how awesome this one is

Good point.

What are the ink options, only replace with the type that comes with it or can I use other refill product(s)?

btw, thanks OP, bought one!

I think it was your other thread that almost got me to buy that Seiko Presage. I didnt follow your mantra of buy now think later and poof it was sold out.

in 4 1 since it's 97% claimed and I had FOMO.

How's the ink quality? How does it compare to MUJI pens?

For Muji pens, they are actually produced by contracted companies.
The clickable gel pens are pretty much Zebra Sarasa Clip pens.
The capped ones are produced by Uni, a slightly different variation of Signo (UM-100s).

Zebra F701's ink is just alright, but if I could swap the refill, I would take Sarasa gel over this. Just my 2 cents.
