From my own experience, it's mainly for professional DSLR shooters, as cf cards are fast and robust.

Your smartphone would use microSD (vs Compact Flash in this thread). If your card supports UHS-II, then your link is fine, or you can spend the same and get double the capacity Sandisk here:
