[Amazon.ca] Psyllium Husk on sale again - 454g for $8.61

The Husk is on sale again at Amazon - Haven't seen/noticed it this price since January. $8.61 for 454G.
People will believe what they want to believe whether fact or fiction.
'tis most frustrating when they aren't open to see and/or learn which is which.

Thanks! I usually go to Bulk Barn for those (used to be at 20/kg + coupons would bring price a bit lower but it is constantly at 35/kg over there now :().

TMI: I usually have 3 spoons before bed and by the time I wake up, I poop just like an ice cream machine serves a soft serve.

Some people use it as a laxative.

It's also used to cook, gives a texture similar to gluten in non-gluten and/or low carb foods.

Is it the smaller quantity you put in your food that doesn't cause a laxative response?

Helps to reduce your cholesterol levels also.

I take a heaping teaspoon (about 3 to 4g) with 8-10oz of water with every meal.

Makes some people excessively gassy.

You have to ensure you drink enough water if you want this to work effectively as a laxative.

There are some medications you should not be taking at the same time as this.

Exactly. And I probably should have said stool softener instead of laxative.

Basically it's fiber and absorbs water, so it will keep more than usual in your bowels... But it's also what makes the food softer and moister.
