[Amazon.ca] Quntis 18W iPhone Fast Charger Set 6ft Apple Mfi Cert USB C to Lightning Cable w/ 18W USB-C Wall Charger $29.99 no tax

I was looking for a spare USB-c charger and found this. Considering I paid $21 for just a ravpower 18w charger, $25.39 $29.99 for an 18w charger and a 6ft USB-c to lightning cable is not bad. I have attached an image of the charger which shows the charging details and safety certification. I also searched for the company on Apple mfi certified search site. It does show up quntis, but for a USB-a to lightning cable so don’t know if it means much. They also have offers for those who purchase more than two. Also no tax

Got the exactly same one last month.
It is working great.
The product can also be found in Apple official MFi database.

Apple added a feature to improve battery life, so fast charge stop working at 80%, which can prevent damage from charging over night. I think you can turn it off in setting.

You are right that at 80% the iPhone stops charging. For those who want to turn it off it’s in settings > battery > battery health > optimized battery charging. iOS has been good at figuring out my charging routine so haven’t had any issues with the battery optimization.

Is this brand really “quntis”? I’m not saying that aloud in any public place. Geez.

Maybe it's pronounced "Kewn-tis" either way that's hilarious hahaha

Also good deal OP, would buy immediately but I'm contemplating my Apple-future.

Pretty good deal since it comes with the cable which is like $15 by itself at least, and looks like it's certified.

I don't need another one but this is tempting.

I just received the charger and cable. but it doesn't really do fast charging. As my other authentic fast charger beeps twice(also the battery sign enlarged twice)
But this charger only beeps once.

I thought the double chime occurs when your battery percentage is below 50% can someone chime in. I don’t know about the enlarging battery animation that’s the first time I’m hearing that.

The Apple charger is $39 and the cable another $25. I have the original Apple charging cable and use it with a ravpower 18w pd charger. The fact that quntis includes a 6ft cable with the 18w for $25 is the kicker. I tested the quntis and it charges to 55% in 30mins abit faster than my ravpower charger. That’s for an iPhone XS Max. Can anyone post some timing if you got this set.

The double beep stuff is broscience https://reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/cp ... ime_twice/

It isn’t a cool hint from Apple that your phone is fast charging, it’s just your phone interpreting the voltage changes as a new plug going in and dinging a second time. Depending on the actual output, it may or may not ding, but it’s not a fast charge notification. Apple should have resolved this ages ago.

It’s the only fast charging standard an iPhone can use, but it caps out at 18W. The higher PD specs for laptops and tablets aren’t used.

I bought this charger hoping it can fast charge my Samsung note 10 plus, on the screen it does say fast charge, however it still charge the same speed as my old banker charger from 2 years ago. One of the requirement for samsung note 10 plus fast charge is power delivery 3.0 PPS, but still charge the same as PD 1.0 even thought it hasPD 3.0 on the description.
