[Amazon.ca] Radio Flyer Ultimate Go Kart 12 km/h - $284.82 on Amazon.ca (Deal DEAD)

First post on RFD & please be gentle :)

Has been watching this Radio Flyer Ultimate Go Kart for a long time.

Today I found the price dropped to $284.82 for red edition
https://www.amazon.ca/Radio-Flyer-Ultim ... B07P9KDVPG
and $252.61 for pink red edition
https://www.amazon.ca/Radio-Flyer-Ultim ... C71&sr=1-3
on Amazon.ca. This might not be the lowest price but still a good steal comparing to $349.99 at costco.ca

https://www.costco.ca/radio-flyer-24v-u ... 62509.html

UPDATE: The price is back to normal now and deal is dead.. only last for two days :(:(

IMO this "was" a great toy for my kids when I had bought it on clearance at Costco for roughly the same price or lower from OP. I was even able to ride it (weighing about 145lbs) lol... but it came to a point when the wheels, being plastic and all, was just getting ripped up so badly on the pavement because my kids keep drifting the go kart at high speeds. If there was some mod that can change the wheels to rubber tires then I would have kept it. Sold the ride on last year and was lucky to even sell it at a good price.

We had this go kart plus the 12v beach buggy from Costco. We kept the beach buggy because it could seat two kids.

I bet you could cut up some cheap bike tires, open them up, and glue it on to the wheels to help with that. Just a thought :)

Yes I could have done that as I have seen videos of Power Wheels doing a similar mod. I was looking for more of a straight upgrade kind of mod than a D.I.Y.

Anyway, the go kart was a really good investment for my kids during the pandemic and after looking back at my Costco receipt, we got it on sale for $279.99 + tax on October 9, 2020. I have seen it even cheaper when it was on clearance. We did all sorts of fun things with the go kart like clamping a red Ikea RAMSÖ parasol to one side to give it a Mario Kart look. It was functional and never flew off while driving. I attached a photo of three vehicles that I took back then and I just prefer the beach buggy over the go kart.

Seriously eh, they really need to understand that most adults would kill for a kids toy!

12km/h is also the average speed of traffic downtown Toronto after the race to the next red light.

This would be more efficient and you could fit way more cars on the road!

In for 1, looks like the price is creeping up. I got one at $289 and it’s now $291 (15 mins later).

I'm looking into the possibility of hooking 8 or so of these up like a dog sled team.

8x12 = 100 km/h so it should be highway worthy. Hoping to get some sort of electric car rebate before pulling the trigger.

I don't think there is an actual model as it just shows an item number. I think it's only exclusive to Costco too. If you search the forums under expired deals then you will see that @Thatdealguy had posted it before and I believe $199.99 is the lowest price it has gone down, link to the old thread here.

Anyway, I have attached what I can find on the buggy and you will see that it doesn't indicate a model number.

"UTV-MX 2000New" is we have at our house and looks exactly the same as that picture.

Thing is awesome if you can find one. Very reasonably priced. Our boys drive around our neighborhood (3.5 and 1.5yo) waving at everyone and I walk behind them at a fast pace. Get 30-45 mins of drive time before it dies. They love it, neighbour's love it.

That dune buggy sure looks good but what initially got me to go with the go kart was the 24v battery. Correct me if I'm wrong but the go kart was probably the fastest out of your line up? Heck, I'd be scared to see that buggy, which has kids seated way higher, going as fast as the go kart.

Anyways, I got the go kart a few months ago when it was 250 for the pink for my boy who loves pink and he can't wait for summer. I do need to figure something about those wheels, though.
