[Amazon.ca] Razer Basilisk V2 - Gaming Mouse - $44.99

The Razer Basilisk V2 (which is a gaming mouse ;) ) is on sale everywhere for $44.99. Now that the V3 is out, it looks like they will be clearing out the V2.

Amazon.ca, Bestbuy, Memory Express, London Drugs, Canada Computers etc....

I don't know why you're getting downvotes. It's a good mouse and good price.

Is this mouse better or Logitech G502 HERO?

Great mouse at first. I actually paid $150 for it. It's got a serious double click issue thought. Just FYI.

How long did it take to develop double clicking? My g502 hero is having the same issue in less than a year. I thought optical switches would last longer than mechanical.

Really? I thought mice develop the double click issue due to the static built up due to mechanical switches. This mouse should have optical switches so the double click issue shouldnt be an issue.

I have a Deathadder V2 with optical switches and usually I have to replace my older Deathadders every year or so due to this issue, since getting the V2, which also comes with optical switches, I havnt had any issues.

Same here. Never heard of optical mice having double click issues. I don't know whether this one is an optical or not.

Don't really need a gaming mouse as my G502 is still going strong. But that discount makes me wanna buy first think later...

I just got the Basilisk V2 today. So far I like i like. The build quality is good. It's obviously similar in feel to the g502, although it is a bit tight on my thumb though compared to the g502. I am trying the Basilisk because I started getting the dreaded double click on the g502 and I am hoping the optical switches on the Basilisk V2 will last longer. I would have gotten another g502 but I saw how common their issues are so I'm not going to until they update/improve their switches like Razer did.

Are you sure you're talking about the right mouse? This one uses optical switches, they're not supposed to double click at all.

The last gaming mouse I bought broke in 2 years from normal usage. Before that I never had a mouse technically break on me. It feels like these are cheap and easy to break.

All personal preference. Go to your local computer shop to see if they have it on display and see how it feels in your hand.

"Better" is subjective.

Do you feel the G502 Scroll Wheel slippery and heavy? If it is, than the answer to your question is 'Yes' it is better.
I own G502, Basilisk V2 & V3.

I'd say in my case less than 2 months. Very frustrating as I was really enjoying it prior. Now I just put up with it as I don't want to wait months for the RMA. I was seriously killing it in Cod constantly first place.

Thanks OP.

Your post also led me find I had 10 bucks in birthday coupons at London Drugs I didn't even know I had. Used them to get this mouse for $34.99. Sweet.

I have a G502, and G402. Really tried to like the G502, but the wheel feels too slippery, so stuck with the G402. Willing to try this mouse out blindly at this price lol.

I bought 2 G502s are year or so and both developed the double click issue (different users). Got the Basilisk and been happy so far. Basically the same mouse from a form factor perspective.
