Seeing 12g of Sugar in 2TBSP. I’m guessing it tastes like the Diabeetus.

Don't forget all that salt. It's all about a healthy balance.

If only it didn't require refrigeration? And then the expiry date may be an issue.

Regarding the comments about sugar and salt, we're talking about a sauce, not an entire dish! Use a tbsp or so, not 1/4 cup., unless you're making a very large portion for many people.

That's like saying, OMG, the salt container contains 100% sodium!!! We use sugar and salt with lots of things, but just add a little. We're not eating a bowl of this stuff. It's an add-on. Eating a piece of fruit is still eating sugar.

I wonder if we could simulate this on our own. Perhaps a combination of soy sauce, bbq sauce, garlic, etc., might be close to replicating it. If one frequently uses a lot, probably can't go wrong with the 4L jug. Szechwan is great. No MSG.

does this have the same burn going in as coming out? or is it more of a sweet and sour sauce?
