[Amazon.ca] Roku Express (2019 model): $35

In stock on May 8, 2021. $5 off the regular price. According to camel, this is the lowest price it ever gets.

Also, new (2021) Roku Express 4k will become available on amazon on May 17, for $50. (Pre-orders available).

The Roku Express Model 3930 is only single band wireless with 2.4 GHz wireless N. I highly recommend you do not buy this in 2021 without 5 GHz band support. Also this model only comes with an IR remote.

Especially given the new 2021 Roku units coming out soon, and the cheaper and better alternatives such as the Fire TV.

Read this.

Sure. I did mention the upcoming Roku Express 4k for $50 (which will have dual WiFi). Everyone has different needs. If you need this for an HD (not 4k) TV, and you need the IR remote capability (e.g. using Harmony remotes; then all "sticks" are ruled out - Roku, Fire etc.), this Roku will work just fine, and will save you some money.

With this logic when the 2020 Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite is on sale for $29.99 or $34.99 it is a much better deal and smarter purchase choice. See RFD thread below.

I am not hating on Roku, I have a Roku Premiere+ Model 4630 and Roku 3 Model 4200 and I use both all the time. Just this model in this post is not worth buying given the current market. I have had issues streaming over the 2.4 GHz wireless N, and streaming over wireless AC 5 GHz has been much better. No buffering issues or disconnects.

Again, sticks are useless when you have Harmony IR remotes. Everyone is different.
