[Amazon.ca] Ryzen 5 3600 price drop to $235.22

For those who are building a pc, this is not a bad price considering the Chip shortages.

Ryzen 5 3600 is mid to higher tier in my opinion.

Select Sold by and Ship by Amazon from the seller's list to get the price to populate.

I5 11500 is close to 3600. But considering you can upgrade to ryzen 5XXX with the current MB, ryzen has a better platform.

Pretty sure the Intel is the faster chip, but you'll need to factor in motherboard costs. Intel motherboards generally cost more and the budget boards don't allow memory overclocking.

Neither has an iGPU, so you'll need to shell out 30-50$ on a display out graphics card.

Paid that 3000 years ago.

Still a good price considering the context of things.

I would personally recommend the 10400f. Even better yet, the 10400, or the 11400, or the 10600k if you can find them for the right price. Ryzen use to be good bang for buck. But now they are getting cocky, since everyone is hyping them up. Better to go intel. Better value for money.

Anything in 2019 is a deal of a century to me at this point. Including life itself.

Is i5 10500 for $250 better value if I need graphic and CPU cooler? I don’t do gaming. I regret not getting i5 10400 for $200 a few weeks back though getting that I would need a CPU cooler so maybe it would cost the same at the end

PassMark.

It's not perfect, but it's better.

Just Google 'CPU Model PassMark' for their composite score.

Yeah, bought it summer (?) 2019 for my son and glad to see it's still being positively talked about in 2021!
