Anyone know if the 256GB or 512GB model be sufficient to run Adobe Suite like photoshop and premiere pro on it?

I love the 850 Pros - it's amazing how well they've held up over the years
When given enough time, all threads on RFD can and will go off on a tangent.

Thanks op
actually large size drives tend to cost a lot more each time they go up. So if their even priced or close to it then it tends to be a decent deal. It's price per GB.

I got two 512g 850 EVO not too long ago on amazon,
one for 199.99
the other for 212.74
considering they are pretty much the same things as the PRO this isn't that much of a deal

Performance wise, there isn't a drastic difference between the 850 EVO and the PRO. The new 860 EVO delivers around the same performance as the 850 EVO.

Biggest difference with this 850 PRO is the 10 year warranty.

Agreed

However there is still debate on whether Amazon Canada is an "Authorized Retailer" in Samsung's view (i.e. They seem to indicate no warranty when purchased from Amazon :()

Samsung chat told me Amazon is not an authorized retailer. Unbelievable. The common refrain with Samsung is they say to contact the "place of purchase" for warranty.

Yeah, I was surprised that Samsung doesn't consider Amazon a legit reseller as well, these are shipped and sold by Amazon, so it's direct from them and not some dodgy third party. Apparently Samsung's whole warranty/rma process is a bit suspect. I bought a Crucial MX500 instead. There's not a lot of difference between sata ssds these days (at least according to Anandtech and other sites).
