Historic low price for Amazon. Click on "new from" to select Amazon as the seller and $159.99.

when it comes to SSD deals, it's like fighting for the scraps.....anything is better than nothing.
This is RedFlagDeals, not RedFlagCheapskates. Rich or poor, we all want our deals so we can buy even more stuff we may or may not need.

It was also $149.99 at Newegg.ca during boxing week sales. :)

The new patches for Meltdown and Spectre supposedly slow down SSD speeds quite a bit, you are probably best off getting the fastest you can afford over storage capacity.

Guys, I have thinkpad w520 and just bought 850 Evo for it (have not installed yet)
Does anyone know if 960 Evo would be compatible with this laptop?

Will not work. The W520 came out 7 years ago and general support for nvme started around 2016 (Thinkpad xx60 series laptops). You'll need a 2.5" SSD in that model.

this is regular price at Newegg/CC , its live there now.

Boxing Week/Black Friday week was 149 + FS everywhere, i am sure this will be lower than 159.99 in the next 30 days for sure.

W520 can take mSATA - not M.2 in the WWAN slot however also know that slot is only wired for SATA2 (vs. SATA3 of the main HDD bay).

My mobo won't recognize this as a boot drive, so I use it for streaming my movies to Plex. No more lag like my old physical hard disk.

I don’t get the impression people in this thread understand what an m.2 is. Might be worth a google
