[Amazon.ca] Samsung CJG52 27" Gaming Monitor - $369.99 [WQHD] [144hz] [4ms] [1800r Curved] [VA Panel]

Checks a lot of boxes for a 2K and affordable gaming monitor.

Strikes a great balance between cost and features, but may not be the best for WFH as the curved screen likely won't be as comfortable to deal with as a flat panel. While it is not height adjustable, it is vesa mountable and will work with a variety of desk mounts for an ergonomic setup.

Appears to be the previous iteration, but here is an Rtings review:

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/samsung/jg50

Generally considered to be a great gaming monitor (pullling from Rtings and amazon reviews) and some of the downsides appear to have been addressed based on several of the Amazon reviews I could see - i.e. improved black uniformity over the Rtings reviewed model.

For those comparing - this will not beat out the previous deal listed on the LG GL83a-b monitor, which is considered to be best-buy along with the equivalent Asus monitor this year. That said, both those monitors are $100-200 more, and while they are more adaptable (better for mixed-used), this is a great option if you want all the major gaming features without hitting the wallet too hard.

For what? You really only need higher refresh rates for gaming. And no one is going to be able to answer this until you at least let us know what your computer is.

Good deal for a curved 144hz 27 inch monitor. I bought the similar but non curved Acer VG271U NITRO VG1 144hz monitor for $450 recently and this seems better except for the lack of speakers and 4ms response time compared to 1ms.

Yes you can, just not for gaming. Use a 120hz screen with my work issued lenovo. Mouse and screen movements are silky smooth

It has two HDMI ports, one of which is HDMI 2.0 (supports 1440p 144Hz). You gotta make sure you use that one. It has also has a 1.2 Display Port which does the same job.

Is 1800R a really aggressive curve? I want to use this as a secondary monitor but I like having my main monitor perfectly in front of me and my 2nd monitor at an angle.
