[Amazon.ca] Samsung Evo Plus 1TB NVMe M2 $189.99

Pretty pleased to grab a Samsung Evo Plus 1TB SSD this morning. Been sitting on my wish list for a while and was waiting for boxing day proper, but this seems a sweet deal. If something better comes along boxing day I can always return it, but I'd be surprised to see that happen. Great price if you want the Plus version.

If you're going gen4, might as well get the model that's $10 more ($229.99) which comes with a heatsink: here gen4's generally run a bit hotter on sustained io.

If I wanted to get one of these drives to replace a 250GB one in my laptop that has Windows 10 installed on, how would I do that? Do you need to clone the drive first or make an image? I wouldn't want to have to setup windows and everything again....

Might just be better/easier to change the 1TB HDD to an SSD instead?

As long as you have a way to have both drives connected at the same time, Samsung have tools to help you migrate from one drive to another...
