The only reason to get fire 10 over this is if you prefer fire OS (which is based on Android 9.0, this is upgradable to 11). Otherwise the specs on this is better (tho besides the camera, most users likely won’t notice the difference).

Is Samsung coming out with new tablets? Saw the S7+be on sale while these A7 are being cleared out everywhere.

I'd get this, but some folks have reviews saying 32gb too little even with a MicroSD for expansion and that there is some slowness as it's just 3gb RAM. $199 a great price for a big tablet though.

I agree. 32gb maybe too little. It's a good choice to watch YouTube online with its 1080P resolution screen. Also it supports expanding the storage space up to 1TB with a microSD card.

Fire tab is comparable in speed but this has quad speakers, Android 11 and better build quality. Fire tabs are very plasticy in comparison.

No it's not, hilarious claim. The A7 is marginally better, dollar for dollar, but lacks the strong manufacturer support of Amazon.

The S6 Lite is a much better tablet, and costs accordingly.

The only thing that bugs me about the A7 after checking it out in store is that the screen isn’t IPS so the off center is not great and second the brightness is very low ( also mentioned in a few reviews ) . It has to run at full brightness pretty much all the time and wonder how in the long run it affects battery life .

I wonder how the new ONN pro and new Fire HD 10 compare to the A7 in screen brightness and screen type .

I had the new Fire HD 8 and swapped it for this. The Samsung is far superior to the Amazon tablet

Would this work well running Microsoft Teams for remote learning?

I’d like to be prepared for further Covid issues just in case.

Please just be quiet already. The A7 has all around better hardware, screen, battery life and you don't have to deal with Fire OS. You're always chiming in these tablets.

I've been on the IOS train for quite some time now and been using iPads. Looking at a new tablet just for basic tasks (99.99% RFD+Reddit+YouTube/streams). The iPad pro looks nice but don't feel like dropping $1k..

$200 is a nice price point. Do those Android tablets bog down after 1-2 years? The one thing I can appreciate about our iPad mini is that it still performs great despite being 5/6 years old.

Do people still root these Android tablets and whatnot?

Not a tablet, you better off buying a laptop,
Buying separate bt keyboard and mouse will cost you the leg and arm.

Was really torn between the A7 and the S6 Lite and after reading many reviews and comparisons, I went for the S6 Lite from Shoppers Drug Mart.
Used 100000 points and got $140 off, so all in it was $289.39 witch is a great deal for this tablet.

Yup
Plus having to debloat the Fire and do workarounds just to make it a more functional tablet speaks to its inferiority

Does this kill the Fire HD 10? Or just a marginal improvement?

This is a minor price reduction on last year's low-end tablet from Samsung. The FireHD still has an edge in value for money, but the Samsung tablet has an edge in running genuine Android, and it's a bit sleeker in design.
