It gets hot even idling. I've got one plugged into the monitor which is connected to my MacBook.

Anyone that already has these SanDisk sticks, does it experience buffering issues when writing large amounts of data, does the write speed stay constant?

Some Lexar usb 3 thumb drives are terrible where they write for a few seconds, then pauses to clear it's cache before continuing to write, so damn slow.

Likely means they're in transit between fulfilment centers or still coming from supply chain > Amazon. They usually err on the side of caution, and you get it much faster.

You know, I never could figure out what kind of English that was.

As for getting hot, if it's anything like my Samsung 128 GB with the metal body, after transferring a large number of files, it's hot enough to not be able to hold it in your hand...

These always seem to have great read speeds but can't even do USB 2.0 speeds when it comes to writing to the device. It's like manufacturers deliberately try to hide that info.
