[Amazon.ca] Santorini Board Game ($29.97)

Hey Folks,

Noticed this game was on sale on Amazon. Good gift idea for someone who enjoys board games or just buy it for yourself and your family to play over the Holidays/Covid Lockdown.

This game gets a 7.5 from Board Game Geek and is suitable for 2-4 players but is best with 2. I enjoy playing this with my wife and it has been in my collection for a few years.

Great game for the price. Bought this also for $25 in the past, but very much worth the extra $5.

to get everything from the original version you need to buy the golden fleece expansion which costs 24$

They are working on a deluxe version as well so that might include everything.

finding a used copy of the Roxley original version is a better deal

I saw that too. Back down to $29.97 now (as of 15:52 MST).

Edit: Next best price I could find was at MeepleMart for $34.95; https://www.meeplemart.com/store/p/66867-Santorini.aspx

Edit 2: So seems that Amazon has a habit of hiding the best price from time to time. Even though they ship and sell it, I found you need to be on a lookout for the better price seen in the green box in this image:

Also note the logo on the box (and the product code, SPI6039848) indicates that this version is actually from Spin Master. I ended up buying it anyway. I thought about doing a print-and-play, but since both Zee Garcia and Tom Vasel loved the game, I bit the bullet. I can print-and-play the Golden Fleece expansion much easier this way. I couldn't find any information about the Deluxe version apart from news three years ago stating that it was slated to be published that fall.

That's correct. I will prob buy the New York edition just because it looks similar to Manhattan (always play it when i go to Germany and I have the two versions (original and newest release).
