[Amazon.ca] Scotch-Brite Scrub Sponge, 9 Pack, Heavy Duty - $7.59 ($5 @ walmart store)

I found the better deal here @ walmart in store only:
https://stocktrack.ca/?s=wm&upc=5114133399

Looks like a good deal for $0.84 each (not everyone has Costco membership so...)

Does anyone know how does this compare with the Costco pack in terms of price per sponge?

Similar to the other thread, IF you have access to Costco, these regularly go on sale 21 for $12

Need to dry it very well and try not to use it when there is greasy food on the dishes use something else like hot water and a silicone thing to clean first and then clean with sponse with soap, also wet it and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes from time to time.

Go all the way to the right in the size option section and you'll find 12 pack for $8.98, cheaper per sponge than the 9 pack.

What's a short time frame? In our household we do hand washing since it's not much in terms of plateware for 2

I always make sure to rinse the sponge at the end (usually water pressure enough to get most of the stuff off of it) and wring it out well so it has time to dry and not get all bacteria-y. The same goes for random dishcloths that I keep around to clean, make sure they're as dry as possible after usage.

Make sure it has a chance to dry well. Also, you can put it in the dishwasher (see the last photo at the amazon link).
I make my own with nylon netting - crocheted. similar to these

We primarily use these for pots and pans, since we have a dishwasher for plates, cutlery, mugs, etc.

We toss it in the dishwasher (top rack) every 1-3 days -- basically every time we run the dishwasher. Haven't noticed any odour issues.

Helpful tips? https://www.foodnetwork.com/how-to/pack ... hen-sponge

I find this to be the same problem. I always squeeze all the water out but it still ends up smelling terrible after just a few days but when I use the cheapo ones from Dollarama I don't have this problem. Unless of course I leave it wet sitting in the sink.
I think it's because the ScotchBrite sponge is more dense and doesn't dry out as quickly.
