Wanted to get this at SDM but was too lazy to go out and find one but noticed the GSP 300 headset on sale for $79.00 on amazon.

Just an FYI. This headset uses 2 3.5mm jacks instead of USB.

I would say the GSP 300 is a much better buy.

Hows the noise isolation on this? Looking for a gaming headset for my loud home. The 598s aren't cutting it anymore haha

Very good compared to the 598's. Also doesnt move around that much when you move your head.

How is the mic on them? I currently have a headset that makes me sound like darthvader with my breathing.

if you want a removeable mic option (e.g. taking this headset out in public) you may prefer the corsair

Is the 301 better in terms of performance or is it an aesthetics thing? For the $1.50 it might be worth the upgrade.

Both of these are, according to Sennheiser, identical to the GSP 300 model in every technical aspect. The changes are purely cosmetic, and particularly revolve around the headset’s color design.
