[Amazon.ca] Sennheiser HD 600 Open Dynamic Hi-Fi Professional Stereo Headphones (Black) - $367

Historic low was $350 during 2017 Black Friday. This year didn't see many deals on the Sennheiser headphones but for $17 more than historic low I think is still pretty good.

Good old days when the top headphones used to sell for 300$ - the HD600 is a legend. If you have any intentions of being serious about headphones, you need to own the HD600 or HD650 for some time just because every audio impressions out there will have some comparison to them. Very few headphones at this price will scale like the HD6X0 series.

Solid buy at this price especially at Amazon where you can just return it if you don't like it.

I'm doing just fine with my DT880 and Q701.
Both purchase for about half the price of HD600.

Really want a pair of Sen but just can't justify paying that much in comparison.

cmon amazon, now give us the HD 598's below $130 xD

Tempting but just outside what I'm willing to spend on gaming headphones :(

Will this be a significant upgrade from HD 598SR?

If you like the DT880 you might not like the HD600 (or the HD650). The DT880 was my main headphones for probably 5 years and I still have it even after upgrading.

I disagree. Everyone has different taste, and I was completely let down by the HD6XX after people hyped it up so much. I wasn't in love with the HD600 either.

One thing to point out for those who are thinking of buying, you need to get an external source if you're using it with the computer or you'll hear a lot of noise. A basic DAC/amp will cost 100-150.

First of all you will never see HD598 for 130$ ever.
Second, these are not "gaming" headphones, these are audiophile headphones.

I'm waiting for those to drop again too so I can get a 2nd pair, or preferably the closed back version.

They're the msot comfortable headphones I've owned and for around 100 they are such a steal

pardon my ignorance but having a better headphone like audiophile for games wouldn't it be better? I know game head phone are big and bulky and has a mic on some.

1. they were on sale for $109 a year ago. they have also been on sale around the $140 mark many times before that too.
2. oops. I worded that poorly. I meant to imply it's more than what I want to spend on headphones when I'm only gonna be using them for gaming :P

If you are considering this I would take a look at the Massdrop HD6xx. @$199 USD (plus shipping and like $45 tax) it’s arguably a better headphone at a better price.

I had the DT880, K701 and HD600. The one I still have is the HD600

FWIW, the actual historic low of the HD600 was $299 a few years ago as a lightning deal. Camel doesn't track lightning deals properly.
