Also yes I do use them with my old s9+ with just the built in DAC when I use to take the train. I'm serious when I say I don't hear a f@$king thing outside on volume 4 or higher. Unbelievable.

These should be better than the SE535. The Aonic 5 has swappable nozzles.

I bought the DUNU DK-3001 Pro and I absolutely love them, for a little less than this. These are much better. Wait for the next sale on AliExpress.

If you want a very high quality pair for less money, get the JVC HA-FDX1 from drop.com for $250 USD, which is very well liked.

For less money than that, the Etymotic ER2XR is another IEM that is widely praised and universally liked. Only $132 CDN on Amazon.ca right now.

Or if you have almost no money, for $23 USD on AliExpress, the Blon BL-03 are excellent, with killer bass and a fun sound. Best price/performance ratio by far.

I have all these IEMs, listen to them alternatively, and love them all. The DUNU is clearly the best, but all the others are excellent. In fact the BL-03 is so incredible for the price that I ordered a few pairs before they get discontinued.

And if you want to listen to music on your phone with a IEM and thus need a USB dongle with a good DAC because you no longer have a headphone jack, the iBasso DC03 has just been released, for around $60 USD. Or there is the Tempotec Sonata HD Pro for $36 USD. Both are excellent choices, with an edge for the iBasso.

I'm eyeing the Etymotic ER3XR which is $151 on Amazon right now. How's that compared to the ER2XR ?

I'm curious if Shures new Bluetooth headphones will deliver. I have owned a few 2, 3 and 5 series. By far my favorite IEMs due to the amazing passive seal.

I have their first gen Bluetooth cord and it's garbage with the SE215. Connection is weak, volume is low and sound quality is much worse than a wired SE215.

Might grab a pair as a backup, in case my refurbished 65t's crap out.

I am not familiar with the exact details, but from what I read on the Etymotic IEMs currently available, the consensus is that the ER2XR is the best overall choice. Of course they are all different so you could look at user reviews on Head-Fi and choose the one that best fits your preferences.

I have the aonic 4s and they're fantastic even driven on nothing special.
