Same. But I'm in no rush. Many seem to be slowly crawling down in price here and there, so I'm watching carefully

If money is on your side, go forward with OLED but this is a serious deal for 85''. You're missing on HDMI 2.1 but still have E-ARC and HDMI 2.0B compatibility. Otherwise, colour wise, There's not much better than this for HDR and Upscalling (which I assume must be important when you blow up content on 85''). Also the 75/85'' of this specs come with X-Wide specs which are not in the smaller panels. If I had space for this I would really take this into consideration.

OLED panels come in 77” and 88”. The jump in price between them is substantial. If you’re actually looking at 88” OLED in this price range, you’ll be waiting a long long time. The 88” goes for ~$40k.

$5,000 at the moment for the 77" LG CX.

Does anyone know how easy it is to return a massive item like this to Amazon if there is a problem?

I grabbed a 85” X850G a few months ago at Costco USA $1400 usd, it’s not a X950G but I’m happy with it and the price is good

how's buying big TV from Amazon? Anyone has experience? Can we be sure it's brand new and not returned?

And any changes from 2019 vs 2020 of the model?

No one has regretted buying a TV too big.

Unless you buy from the warehouse, Amazon isn’t sending you a used tv. Just make sure the seller is amazon/“fulfilled by amazon”.
You can always return it. Just call and they’ll arrange pick up
