this seems to be routinely on sale for $499. although its probably a good purchase at $499, personally i'm going to wait for the STRDN1090 to be $499.

I haven't seen any product announcement. Nothing on google. Do you have a link?

No Bluetooth transmitter, right? if I'm gonna invest in a receiver, I want it to stream sound to my bluetooth headphones for night viewing.

Has Bluetooth TX and RX. So yes, there is a transmitter - I have this receiver, it's pretty feature rich for the price. It also has Chromecast Audio and Airplay Audio too.

One annoying thing about this receiver (and many others) is that zone 2 doesn't support HDMI.
Ya most don’t, which is annoying. I had to buy an hdmi splitter that outputs to stereo to accommodate.

One of the selling features of these is that it's easy to set up, but I had the $500 regular priced one home (on sale for $299) and for the life of me, had a hard time getting it to cooperate with the devices I wanted to use, and to get the CEC to work right with my Vizio TV, returned it and continued using my Pioneer. But was hoping to get it to work for the HDCP2.2 and HDMI2.0 compliant inputs so I could get the benefits of HDMI switching to the TV.
This is the one I had at home
