Just processed a return/refund for the one I ordered May 10th (not yet installed anyways) and grabbed it at $199.

I was honest and said better price, so paid the $6.19 fee, still getting $24 more off the $229 I paid.

I will send back the sealed one.

There were some discussions behind the scenes on how to approach the return.

Claiming the return due to a 'price change' will result in the $6.19 fee, but it's the upright and stalwart thing to do... I must admit. Especially when you're saving $30 gross, and not paying tax.

Just ordered one @199. Actually I bought one a couple weeks back when it was $229, however received 512GB instead of 1TB, so returned.

70% claimed. I have an 970 EVO and my rig is long since complete, I'm fighting the urge.

Bought one, thanks op.

I also recently got an HP ex920 and it is my main boot drive. Should I make this one my primary boot since (I think) it’s faster? Or it doesn’t really make a difference?

Gammix Pro is better, but will it make a difference? On multiple VMs, data intensive work, etc., it can. Gaming, not really. Boot times, nah.

I'd still image the EX920 drive to the Gammix Pro and format the EX920 to use as a secondary storage drive, just because I'd want that maximum performance.

Buy now. Figure it out later. Worst case, return it. That was my thought process.

Pretty sure the drive is identical to the SX8200 Pro.
Both appear to use the same controller (SM2262EN) and 64L TLC.
Also, take a look at the PCB when the heatsink is removed.

Will this be ok as a sole drive with exactly 950 gbs on it? Will my speed drop off to a pathitic 75mbs like it does with the Intel 660p?

Yes, this drive will be fine as the sole primary drive as this is a TLC drive. The Intel 660p is a QLC drive hence the speed drop-off.

So even with 950gb I won't see a slow down? Is there proof of this? That would mean it's as good as the 970 pro, which is impressive.

Where was this deal when i was building a PC? I would have definitely bought this instead of the 960 EVO / PRO.

So from reading amazon Q&A it didn’t seem to come with a screw to secure to motherboard. Where do we get the screw from?
