great lens if you can deal with 28mm (x1.5) on the wide side.

Nice deal, too bad it's Pentax mount only.

Can this be used with the Sony A6000 if I get an adapter?

You can use it, yes, but looking at this site (there are others, this was just the first that came up on Google), all of the Pentax K-mount (this lens) to Sony E-mount (your A6000) adapters appear to be mechanical-only.

I've been using this on my camera for many years, but with an Alpha mount, I'm using Sony a77.

Excellent lense, my only gripe is that it's a bit too narrow at 28mm on APS-C sensors, but I still use it as my general walk-around lense and rarely swap it out.

^^That is correct. K-NEX adapters are manual only.

I bought a used Canon version of this lens for under $300, but resold it within a week as I was not happy with the image quality. It may have been my specific copy, but I found the lens to be very soft wide open (noticeable even in the centre), particularly around the 70mm range. It was acceptable if you stop it down to around f5.6, but that defeated the purpose in having a large f2.8 zoom.

+1 for a Pentax deal. There are so very few of them. :) I use a: Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro Z and am pretty happy with it. It's my only Tamron lens.

Great price if you have shooting Pentax. I remember paying $6xx+ for this for the A-mount.
I guess they need to clear out the K mount.

tempted to grab one as backup... I remember paying $700+ tax in a few years ago for this lens. It's definitely a keeper

Yeah, that's definitely a deal breaker.

Very few people shooting Pentax anymore, hence this deal. If this was Canon or Nikon it would move very quickly.
