Thread Summary
Let's clear the air, so I don't get a bunch of regretful PMs when this sale is over.

If you've been waiting for a value 43" TV to be used as a monitor, look no further. This TCL 4-Series 43" 4K60 4:4:4 TV can't be beat on this one day sale.

There are better TV-as-Monitors, but nowhere near this price right now.

Amazon's 30-day protection has your back. Buying with Costco Mastercard gives you a 2nd year warranty, and provides a back-stop if your current warranty doesn't deliver. Costco may also accept your defective unit in store after year 1, saving you some hassle.

Perform this monitor test to ensure there are no serious defects:

What is the worst case scenario here? You buy on my recommendation, don't like, get a full refund with prepaid postage, and I get a little hate mail. Life entails risk, but so does reward.

God bless.

Thanks gents,

RFDGuy

The 43" is a great VA monitor for the price.

The price drop is so significant, that it renders every other TV-as-Monitor less competitive, even though the LG UK6300 is still a better bright room and office monitor.

RTings TCL Monitor Rating of 8.1:

My serious recommendation is to buy this TCL 43" for monitor use.

Greatest nation.

At least the 43" is in deal territory as an oversized monitor, as a TV it's also warm.

4K is decent, especially as a monitor. The HDR is fake.

I have the 50" model as a monitor it's fantastic, considering a second now ;)

I use a little known app called 'Mosaico' to divide my screen into drag and drop areas .. it's also fantastic!

Even 43 inches, neck won't hurt?

Disappointed they didn't include the 65". I think my Costco has it for $689, have not seen a better deal - more so with the extended warranty.

Costco.ca has the Hisense 65R6109 on for $664 right now; I assume the TCL is still a better deal?

Sounds like fun if you're playing some single-player video games. I have a 32 inch monitor and even that's almost too large for general desktop use. I think 27 inch is optimal for getting work done.
