Going to sit this one out and wait for a 40 - 43" Samsung for Black Friday this year. Assuming that I'll be able to land one around $400.

Will play my PS5 off of my MSI 1440p MAG274QRF-QD 27 for the time being :)

Not all 40"(ish) 4K TVs work well as a monitor.

Way cheaper than alternatives right now.

COVID is forcing panel prices up in this category, this is the most aggressively priced offering I can find.

I share for those looking for a right-now purchase.

Do you know if it’s IPS, or VA?

Is it matte/semi-glossy, or glossy glass?

Similarly looking for pc monitor usage.

VA matte I believe.

It’s only semi-matte apparently.

Rtings say the VA panel has some blurring from slow response time, and it makes the colours washed out if sitting too close to it.

Think I’ll probably pass on it for now.

Game mode addresses this well.

It's a great productivity panel and decent starter gaming panel.

Probably worth posting the rtings review.
I read the PC Monitor review for the prior two years, the score is harsher this year as they appear to grade on a curve.

This model may actually be slightly better as a PC Monitor in my view.

Looks like it's the 2020 model as opposed to the 2019 model I linked to (mine is a 433425 vice this model which appears to be the 43S435).

I wish Costco would bring back the 55" 4 series for $380 . I just looked and it is $589 on Amazon.

I've been using a previous version of this as my main monitor while at home the last 1.5 years and it has been great. I got it much cheaper than this (~$250 for 2019 Prime Day).

I've got a sneaking suspicion that Costco doesn't plan to carry TCL TVs going forward. My local store hasn't had any in stock for quite a while, and searching the .ca website only returns a single panel.

Honestly, I wish I could speak to 2019 RFDGuy and tell him to load up on TV Panels, Computer Hardware (especially GPUs), and Bitcoin / Ethereum. Maybe get in a little more tonsil hockey....

We live in the post-COVID era, where prices are higher due to supply shocks and Biden inflation, and this deal is honestly the best widely available credible 43" 4K TV option out there.

Hate it, hate me, hate this reality, but this is where we are for now.

I still think $319.99 is a decent deal for a credible 4K 43" TV-Monitor with Prime fulfillment and plenty of stock. As I said in the first post, I'll roll the dice with this thread if my post helps even a few people source a reasonably priced PC Monitor.

Here are the alternatives...

https://www.amazon.ca/SANSUI-43-Inch-As ... 08C9Z75HK/ - $429.99 [No Name Chinese]
https://www.amazon.ca/LG-43UM6951-UHD-S ... 08ZNQZ915/ - $579.99
https://www.amazon.ca/Hisense-43A68G-An ... 083SC5V8R/ - $449.99
https://www.amazon.ca/Caixun-Android-Sm ... 08BBXGKY3/ - $399.99 [No Name Chinese]
https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-TU7000-UN ... 084ZT4RC7/ - $598.99

Have the 2020 model (S425) and been excellent for dual use monitor / consoles. I feel 43" is the sweet spot for 4 x 1080p windows, or split other ways.

Can also vouch for this. Picked up the 2020 model last year for around 250 during one of Amazon's warehouse 20% promotions and been using it as a monitor with Windows Fancy zones. Can't wait for Windows 11 with their native zones and grouping

Given the recent monitor price hiking I will probably skip it for now, buy it unless you are in dire need of a 4k monitor, or ... like me, wait until the frenzy subsided....

I have the older version of this as a monitor and it works great! It's equivalent to running 4x 23" monitors. which is amazing for productivity. Got mine from Walmart from a friend's employee discount though.

Has something changed? Previously, only a few items were free return such as clothing. Mostly everything else, if returning because you don't like it there is a shipping fee.

As for the TV. This is a huge step up. I simply can't go back to using a laptop screen, or tiny monitor. The productivity you get from a nice screen real-estate like this one, it's night-and-day.
