This might be a better deal since this one is the 2019 model apparently and the one from costco is the 2018 model.

Nah r617 is last year's model, only difference is the remote. R613=R615=617

No, they're both the 2018 model. The Amazon title reflects when the TV was introduced to the Canadian market, but it's still the 2018 model. We'll see the 2019 model in March 2020.

I'm having a hard time finding out, but does this particular TCL 2019 model have Freesync? Does anyone here own this, and if "yes", how's it for gaming?

That might be because TV's don't have adaptive frame rate as far as I know...

Everyone this is the 2018 model NOT the 2019 model; costco and amazon just have different model#s (and I think the Costco version has a voice remote) but other than that it's basically the same thing due to vendors preventing price match from Costco, which usually has lower prices.

Have a feeling I should qualify but not sure.

Just go instore and show them the bill or if you bought it online contact customer service. Rookie move throwing away the box, what if you had to return it or it craps out after the 30 day return policy and you had to send it back to TCL.

Actually, a few TV makers out there are adding Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology into their TVs, such as using Freesync. I haven't confirmed them all, but quite a few of Samsung's QLED 4K TVs have Freesync. For example, the QN55Q70RAFXZC has Freesync. The review site Rtings has a few TVs listed as having Freesync, but I couldn't seem to find this particular model, or if it was mentioned it had Freesync (or any type of Variable Refresh Rate).

According to the sign above the TV with the price on it, it was until Nov. 14th, 2019. It's a Costco price tag.
