What is a good price for a plug that only takes up one socket spot and has energy monitoring?

I have these plugs. They work well. You can use the Tuya app if you prefer (i.e. this is a Tuya plug). Not sure if it's hot though especially if you don't need energy monitoring.

$5 would be a hot deal. $8-10 bucks is average.

Has there been plugs with these specs for only $5?

No, nothing generally available. There have been a few WiFi smart plug deals in the $7-8 range, but that's about the low point for the moment. None of those had a power monitoring feature as far as I am aware.

Unless you count the $4 Incipio units from Dollarama, but those sold out quickly and had some limitations.

Okay, good to know, so for these specs, it's not a bad deal at ~25% off (matches Amazon's historic low price)

Can you Find a $7-8 plug that has
1 - 15A rating;
2 - power consumption log.

If you don’t need those features you can for sure look for cheaper ones.

Why are you so defensive? The price sucks.

I think what he's saying, if you compare apples to apples, the price doesn't suck. The cheaper ones don't have those features.

Shout out to metalheart for posting that. Works out to be 7 bucks a piece but doesn't necessarily have the lower log and 15amp. I guess if you need that, then that's fair.

I posted one for 4.99 few weeks ago with free shipping and power log, 10 amp. But that deal died quickly. Thanks for posting op. There's always someone looking for a deal.

Edit: check back. Turns out those ones were 10amp but had monitoring. Can't beat em at 4.99 a piece though.

Are you sure you didn't mean to post this in a different thread cause I don't see anyone here being defensive.

I'm actually looking for a smart plug with energy monitoring for my plex server but since these are apparently overpriced, I'll eagerly wait for your recommendations.
