I just use those small bristle cleaning brushes on Ali. These are super easy to clean.

They're usually 6.99, regularly on sale for 2.97.

Though, it looks like these have been 2.97 since Jan 19, except for a few days - so, maybe the new regular price..

FWIW, after deciding it was time to migrate away from funtainers to bigger water bottles for kids, we discovered it extremely hard to find a truly leakproof bottle that also can be cleaned fully. When kids transport bottles in backpacks, they get turned upside down, squished, and buttons get pressed... meaning some might work for an adult but not for kids.

Have found most contigo can't be disassembled fully for proper cleaning, leading to bacteria buildup (ie smelly water bottle), while others claiming leakproof are only so for a few days or, when upright. After trying many, many different brands, we finally found the Takeya brand.

Thus I am only posting this to help others out. Takeya has many styles (straw format if want to stay with it) but we opted for the screw top sipper lid style for maximum leakproof-abilty... and it paid off. Going on near a year, no leaks & these will now remain a regular bottle in our household. Best deal we found was on black friday, ordering direct from US manufacturer (plus found additional promo code that stacked), so after exchange rate & shipping, price for 8 bottles was less than $13 a bottle. That being said though, Amazon sometimes drops pricing to between $10-14 periodically. Edit: NOTE: Ones I am speaking about are single-walled (non-insulated), plastic (non-bpa) water bottles.

All in all though, we also still have the funtainers in rotation for around the house & yard.

Thanks OP for the link; will always upvote replacement straw links!

Hope this helps someone out, cheers!

Seems higher priced but it is for the metal insulated bottles (versus what we picked up were standard, non-insulated, plastic water bottles; will edit my earlier post as I believe I left this part out!). Wife has one though & loves it nearly as much as I love my insulated Stanley trigger thermos'!

Note, YMMV but there was also a 'pop-up' for additional 15% off order if one signs up for emails from bbb.
