Yeah mine is showing the store on Shepard. I think it depends on where you're located.

Off topic, I'm a student and my rice cooker cost me $65 bucks. For me is does it cook the rice with consistency and how long does it take? Honestly, all the other bells whistles I will never use. I get the fact that some people really care about where it's made etc etc.
What if the made-in-china cooker consistently and slowly release some nasty chemicals into your rice? I'm not saying it does! I'm just saying the chance it does is much much greater with a made-in-china than a made-in-japan cooker! Since the made-in-china baby formula with melamine tragedy, I've been trying to prevent made-in-china things touching my food as much as possible. I'm not saying I'm completely successful, but I'm trying hard.

Damn, people here are serious about their MIJ rice cookers.

60% of the reason I bought MIJ is so that all of the snobby people that come to my house can't judge my rice cooker LOL.

I’m too poor to buy this, but I’d choose made-in-Japan any day. Just adding my vote.

Im a MIJ person all day everyday. But a few months ago when i needed a rice cooker. All the MIJ ones were $200+ so ive ended up with a MIC $100 panny. Contradiction? Yes! Plz dont judge me. If someone has the bank roll, stay with MIJ.

Also, i wouldnt buy another rice cooker without being able to remove the lid for easy cleaning. Im quite sure this model does not allow it.

A $2k iPhone is made in China. Are we all going up in arms about a $200 rice cooker lol. It's all about the manufacturer's quality control in the end of the day, regardless of where it's made. If Tiger is a trustworthy brand, then I will trust their MIC ricec ooker will not leach chemicals or stainless steel rust on me. I haven't heard iPhones' stainless steel rusting yet, have we?

One, I don't let my phone touch my food. Two, why would Apple use stainless steel in a phone? ^:-/

So they could charge $1000+ for it.
iPhone X and Xs have stainless steel frames.

Is there an ad, link?? The one I see in the T&T flyer is designated as Tiger MICOM rice cooker. That is not the JBV-S18U. It is the other one above made in china. The JBV-S18U is noted as 4 in 1 rice combo cooker, not as a MICOM cooker.

My daughter's $600.00 made-in-china iPad died right after the 1 year warranty mark! Brought it to the Apple store and they couldn't fix it! Is Apple a trustworthy brand?

I bought a made in China one for like $50 2yrs ago. Would the 'made in Japan' one actually make better rice, or is it simply a matter of it being better build quality? I ask because I often do blind taste tests and product comparisons, so I'm naturally curious about this now.

What’s Neuro Fuzzy? Does it make the rice more fluffy or something?
