How does this compare with the 16gb crucial ram at $77?

There are tables that compare performance using the Mhz and CL values...Those are the 2 critical variables when assessing RAM. Brand isn't as important oddly enough, but Timetec is Hynix...

You want the highest Mhz possible with the lowest CL value, but of course, the quantity/GB of RAM is the most important.

More RAM > Slightly Faster RAM

16GB of RAM is comfortable, but it's not luxurious.

You deserve better.
Most laptops won't run RAM past 2400 or 2666 as well.

Are you sure "Timetec is Hynix" or you are implying that Timetec is using Hynix memory modules? Not the same thing Friend.

Also, I disagree with brand being not as important. Crucial is a division of Micron, meaning that they don't only use Micron memory modules but also Micron PCBs and carry a similar level of quality control that Micron adheres to during assembly.

I'm out of laptops that need an upgrade... otherwise I would buy this.

Frankly, this holiday season has been slightly expensive so far, so I'd need a stellar reason to crack open the cow leather again.

Anyone with an HP 14" i5-1035G4 laptop from Costco USA, this is a no-brainer upgrade for workstation levels of RAM on a workstation-grade CPU (circa 2016-2017).

If it were my money I would be buying crucial (which I did) as its sold & fulfilled by amazon. Peace of mind. My only regret was I didnt pull the trigger Thursday night when the 2666 Mhz SODIMMs were 71/72 as I thought I could pricematch with BestBuy in store on BF whose gift card I had. Didnt realise this was an online only which the store said they wouldnt.

Will one of these 16gb work in our flex 14?

Or do you still recommend a bigger one if a good price is out?

I have a 5 or 6 year old Lenovo Y510P with the dual GPU setup but it's starting to be realllllly slow, maybe I can add ram into that... Need to research not sure what the bottleneck is... Maybe windows lol

Baller upgrade. My 3800X workstation has 64GB of DDR4 3200Mhz, but I have yet to push my laptops beyond 32GB.

It might be time to man up and make the jump in 2020.

Make sure it accepts DDR4, but yes, it's a possibility.

This RAM should clock down to 2133Mhz, but you still may run into issues on some first generation DDR4-based laptops.
