[Amazon.ca] TP-Link AX5400 WiFi 6 Router (Archer AX73), $179.99 (Reg $279.99) 36% off

I've bought this router about a month or so ago for $199.99 & though it was a decent buy then. It's even better now at $179.99 for a decent WiFi6 based router that was recently released.
I had a few minor issues for connecting some of my older devices to this router but a few changes in the set-up resolved that fairly quickly. I'm quite content with the range and performance so far.

Are you able to connect with an AX200 device at 2.4Gbps? I am thinking about upgrading my AX10 which max out at 1.2G.

What changes did you make. I own it as well and have intermittent connectivity issues despite full signal .

I've had one since April, rock solid (I use 5GHZ only)

It came with firmware 20200908, which is listed as (US) firmware. Anyone flashed the newer 20210408 listed on the TPLINK Canada download page as (CA)?

(TPLINK firmware is weird for being country specific for US/CA and known to be hard if not possible to downgrade)

This or ASUS RT-AC86U AC2900 Dual Band that was on sale for 179.99 ? or walmart r75 for 20 ?

I'm really noob at this whole router scene. I have lot of smart devices (tv, soundbar, smart plug, bulb, google home etc) + nvidia shield, 2 tablets, 2 laptops. This stupid white rogers modem (gigabit internet) is not powerful enough. I keep getting disconnection. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. thanks

They are different; AX5400 is Wifi 6 compatible, but AC86U is not. If you have lots of Wifi 6 compatible devices, go ahead with AX5400, otherwise AC86U is a rock solid router proven by tons of happy users. AC86U's firmware is the best in the market as well.

RFD, need a bit of help with this one.

First time home buyer and no idea what I need in terms of routers. See that right now, this one is ATL; however looks like this is one of the newer ones (and flashier ones).

Is this a good purchase for me, or am I better off buying an older gen?

Context:
-have a few smart home items such as Arlo, and Nest
- two people working from home
- internet will probably be 100-150 mbps

Thanks

If it's last week, there's nothing wrong to return and rebuy. Since Amazon won't do price protection/match and there's a 30$ price drop within 30 days. Even contacting amazon support, they'll tell you to do the same thing.

I bought a UBIQUITI Unifi Access Point AC Long Range, worth returning it for this router instead + wifi 6 adapter on my PC ? I am looking to get good wifi coverage in my home.
