Will this work with the Bell internet (have Homehub). Assume would just use on bridge mode?

What's the difference between this and the eero 3 pack for $239. We have a bungalow with gigabit internet FWIW.

Thanks

Can't say for sure that it will work with bell homehub, but I'd guess it would very likely work.

Eero (the one you linked, not the v2's) is a Wifi 5 mesh, this TP mesh is a wifi 6 mesh; i.e newer devices (2019+) will benefit from multiple improvements introduced in Wifi 6. More bandwidth available on the TP mesh than the eero's, which will mean your gigabit will be put to better use.

Hey guys. I am looking for my very first Mesh system. I don't have super highspeed like yall (using the student deal - 300 mbps, maybe updgrade to 500mbps), I am using the stock router from shaw, which is crap. Would I jump on wifi 6 mesh or save case and look for decent last gen AC mesh? I am a gamer, so lower ping do matter. Cheers.

What is your current speed at the router (plugged in with ethernet)
What is your current speed at your gaming rig?

This would allow you to plug one of the mesh at the router and gaming rig; thus almost having a ethernet like connection.
I think Mesh is great for increasing overall coverage if you have multiple devices experiencing weak wifi signals; but sometimes just upgrading your wifi card on the rig would just do the trick.

Coming from some experience and owning this very same device. This is a great deal by the way.

not an expert, but had this issue...

If you're playing on WiFi: PS5 it should be a good idea to jump on WiFi6, but looks like Xbox Series still using AC. (i don't have either, so can't confirm); I think Nintendo Switch is also AC. PC will depend on your hardware.

Now what you can do is, plug one unit to your router, and have the other next to your device, then plug a CAT6 cable from your satellite mesh. I used to it with Bell Fibe Pods and latency increase was minimal (2-3ms maybe?) compared to wired- if you're doing this approach, either WiFi5 or WiFi6 would be similar (as it isn't client dependent), but I'd rather get an Tri-band mesh, as likely you'd have a dedicated wireless backhaul to connect between them - now a tri-band wifi6 will probably cost twice as much as this, so maybe going WiFi5 would be a bit better

that all said - if you don't live on a massively big house / multi-storey house, chances are you'd better off with a better wifi router than mesh.

Banana4Scale wrote: Thanks guys, as I am looking for somethinig a little more affordable, how does this one look? (https://www.amazon.ca/TP-Link-WiFi-AX18 ... B08D5X9GWC)
exactly the same as OP's but "slower"
Deco M9 https://www.amazon.ca/TP-Link-Smart-Who ... 07D3X5PF3/ likely will give you a bit better results - as it's a tri-band one.

on a side note: worth a read https://dongknows.com/mesh-wi-fi-system ... t-drawback

(the whole article is good to get a good grasp of wifi mesh in general)
