I had one for nearly 10 years before switching to a fully managed deployment.
Never let me down, solid device.

I have one it’s very good and never gave me any problems !

I used it together with the Eero 6 because it didn’t have enough ports.

Best switch under $30. Metal construction with a solid build on the jacks and PCB. No reason to get anything else unless you're looking for a managed and/or POE Switch.

In what case would you need this? Is this basically a splitter to get more ethernet ports on your internet modem?

It's really interesting to know how an unmanaged switch like this handles QoS. Even if it's hardcoded, there is no info on how many queues this switch has and how they are mapped to 802.1p or DSCP values. And even if it's all there, in order for this feature to work, it would still require that a connected host would generate data with correct 802.1p/DSCP.

Yes exactly that. Or hook up more equipment in the home.
