I got the regular, older tribit and it’s amazing. This one is 24w compared to the old one at 12w. Super nice quality for the $, beats many other brand names.

When did they release a 24w one? I'm not sure which one I have

This one is way better than the JBL. The reviews on YouTube and other tech blogs rates the Tribit as one of the best speakers on for the market segment.

Wirecutter says "The Tribit MaxSound Plus is a good-sounding, affordable speaker that falls between the UE Wonderboom 2 and the Tribit XSound Go in price and performance. If we had more picks, this might be one"

That wonderboom design always freaked me out, it looks like it’s ready to go on a crusade...

Looks like a good speaker with strong reviews.

Some reviews on Amazon say it doesn't get very loud, one reviewer even said the SoundLink mini is louder. That's a little concerning since I have the soundlink mini and it is pretty quiet compared to the flip 4. This speaker is probably best suited for indoor listening.

Now I'm tempted to pick this one up too lol.

I've compared mine to the boom 3 and 4 and the MaxSound plus beats it by a long shot. The flip 4 compares to the boom series right? If so then the tribit is much better. I'd say the SoundLink mini 2 sounds better overall though but the price is 3x to 4x.

Flip has better sound quality than the boom models. The Boom gets much louder though and the EQ can be tweaked with the app to improve it a little. How loud does the maxsound plus get at full volume?

Looking for one of these for my apartment, by the pool, at the beach etc.

Is this a good option or if I double the price point will I get substantially better?

Edit: better waiting until boxing day for something else?

This deal won't be popular because so many suckers ordered the Flip 4.

If the Soundlink mini 2 sounds better then the Flip 4 should be comparable since it's pretty close to the Bose. Or are you saying the tribit outperforms them all?

Also it's 50% larger by volume than the Flip, so you're sacrificing portability somewhat; in between the size of the Charge and Flip.

Or maybe because JBL is a reputable brand sold in stores while tribit is one of many Amazon brands that sells speakers. No doubt the tribit sounds nice, but reading reviews there's complaints about the battery's longevity after a few months of use. The flip 4 is a solid speaker. With the JBL you can get up to 2yr warranty (1 yr manufacturer + 1 yr credit card).

Imo different uses. Sound touch is staying put and not portable.
