I have three of them and they're great, have enabled me to connect my laptops with just a single cable. I use an extension cable by ugreen that costs about the same as the hub on two of them. This allows me to hide the hub behind the monitor or back of the desk. My Lenovo vantage does say 95W as described in the hubs details when connected.

Does anyone know whether I could connect a USB to Ethernet adapter to it to have wired ethernet on an android tablet?

I am trying to get wired ethernet and charging to a tablet used as a permanent wall display.

I have a very similar one I use to connect my ROG Ally to my monitor at work, same brand except it supports 4k @ 60hZ.

+1 for UGREEN. I have a similar one like this made by Ugreen. Reliably working for >2 years. This is a very good price!

I have a highend PC laptop with a 3080 Ti card and a good monitor. I haven't been able to hook it up in place of my tower yet. Is this a good short term hook up?

Long term, I'd be looking at what I can use for a USB C hook up for high resolution and high frequency monitors. Lately I've only seen deals on Mac ones.

Searching USB-C HUB for exactly this purpose (steam deck to be exact). 4k 60Hz would be perfect - which ugreen model do you have there?

Would you recommend upgrading and not go with OP's model (due to 4k @30Hz)?
