[Amazon Canada] Umidigi F1 back in stock 249.99 after coupon

I've been using this one for a month now and it's a very capable phone. I bought it June 30/19 then it disappeared from Amazon. NIce screen, good battery life. It's got all the bands for Canada except Freedom. Got it for 249.99 + no tax. I like the 128GB internal storage. Really no need for an SD card.
Great for a dual SIM phone. $250 is the sweet spot for me.

I don't have Freedom. My understanding is that Freedom LTE needs Band 66 which this phone does not have. Freedom will probably work on the other bands but not LTE. That's as much as I know.

This guy did a great review on this phone! The phone is okay and obviously doesn't stack up against any of the flagship phones. And it shouldn't be for that price.

Thanks for reminding me. This phone has absolutely no bloatware or nags...no advertising sh*t, no sign ins, no garbage. It doesn't need rooting and ROMing like other phones. Especially flagship phones. This is a phone for people that need a phone for calling people, GPS, surf the web & take a photo now and then.

FROM THE REVIEW:

When starting the device for the first time I was positively surprised by the screen. With the Xiaomis the backlighting is very aggressive and it affects the depth of the blacks, I didn’t have this problem with the Umidigi, the screen looks good for blacks but I will test it more in detail later.

Each time a smartphone is started, you must inevitably go through the configuration of the device. This Umidigi is the first device with a stock Android that I am testing, the configuration procedure is shorter than with a Xiaomi or an Honor. We start with the choice of language and country, the connection to wifi, the transfer of your old phone and then the configuration of the device. Unlike Xiaomi and Honor, Umidigi does not try to have you install anything and will not force you to create an account.

This is probably a standard Android feature but you can recover your data from an old Android phone from the old phone. The two phones synchronize and you must confirm the transfer from the old phone. This procedure has the advantage of being simple and does not require any password, everything is done from the old phone.

My experience with UMI phones is that the screens are excellent. The problem is the camera on the phones is just aweful!

I'm not sure how much it differs from the F1 Play, but I quite like the play.
It's not gonna touch a flagship but you could buy 4 of these for one flagship so it's not exactly a fair comparison.

Seems like coupon is no longer available. Is it worth going with UMIDIGI S3 PRO for $50 more (After $80 coupon) ? Same storage but 2 GB more ram and P60 vs P70 processor? Thanks

I bought one of these for my wifey a few months ago when it was on Lightning Deal, so it was even cheaper than 250. The phone is very fast for most people(save for gamers), but like others have said the camera is no good.

I think the new umidigi x is about to be released, so they are clearing out their old phones

The x is going to be the big brother to the A5 pro. It will have
an on screen fingerprint reader , P60 cpu, triple cameras, big battery, etc

My Umidigi A5 Pro took 18 days to get shipped from Aliexpress Umidigi store, but amazingly only took 7 days to get here by regular mail, no customs fees.
