Trying to justify buying this for my laptop but it already has 1 HDMI out and 1 miniDP out lol...

Oh wait, just noticed it says "USB-C female port only for input charging" and not for data? hmm, well I suppose that's not bad for long gaming sessions where I need to charge the device play at the same time but I was honestly hoping for an adapter/hub with data connection, that I can input an Xbox controller for the lowest latency at the same time as HDMI out, anyone find one?

Well I already have a USB-C to HDMI adapter so this new one's kind of pointless for my required use case

One of the images on the product page says it's incompatible with all smart phones and tablets, but in the reviews people are saying it works with their phones. Probably just covering themselves in case of incompatibility.

It's not. The one on your link is a USB-C to HDMI/VGA. The one in the OP link is USB-C to HDMI/USB-C PD/USB.

I've had that first one for a few years now, used it for my switch, and for my phone to hook up a usb sound dongle for mics and headphones.

damn, it looks like this does not work with my phone... anyone else get it to work?
