Bought this a few months ago back in September. Today still works ok, really soft, no rip. Not sure why you're experiencing such different things than me lol

Yah, that is what pillows are for. I was hoping that too but they were nightmare for us. The reviews, some were like mine.
Got my pillows today - that was fast! Pillows were vacuum packed and rolled up but expanded quickly. They feel pretty good! I would say they are a medium firmness and poofiness.
I'm more of a side sleeper, and the height seems good. My head sinks in about halfway so support is enough and not too much. I'll see how it goes sleeping on it.
Just a side note - the mattress topper I bought helps a lot too! I fluffed it up in the dryer, and it feels like lying on a medium poofy comforter. It's probably closer to 2" in poofiness I would say with some spots maybe 3". I haven't given it a full day to expand though yet.
