[Amazon.ca] Various GPUs available for Pre-Order at MSRP - YMMV

Noticed that Amazon CA has posted various GPUs for pre-order at "MSRP". Sold and Shipped by Amazon CA. No idea how many of these will actually ship (especially the ones that "Ships in 5 months") - so YMMV.

If you're looking for a card or eyeing an upgrade in the future, it probably won't hurt to order. It's Amazon, so you can easily cancel / return if you got lucky found one in a store later on. And they don't charge you until it ships.

MSI RX 580 $254 (Ships in 5mo): amazon.ca/dp/B07ZR48QWV/
MSI GTX 1650 G5 VENTUS XS $329 (Ships Sep 14): amazon.ca/dp/B07QPXT4NG/
ASUS RX 5600XT DUAL $406 (Ships in 5mo): amazon.ca/dp/B088Y9V1Q5/
ASUS RX 5600XT TUF $407 (Ships in 5mo): amazon.ca/dp/B083WD3DK6/
ASUS RTX 3070 DUAL $658 (Ships in 5mo): amazon.ca/dp/B08L8HPKR6/
MSI RTX 2070 VENTUS GP $668 (Ships in 5mo): amazon.ca/dp/B0856BVRFL/
MSI RX 6700 XT MECH 2X $1059 (Ships Oct 8): amazon.ca/dp/B08Z7DXHP5/
ASUS RTX 3080 EKWB $1180 (Ships in 5mo): amazon.ca/dp/B08R144FDR/
MSI RX 6700 XT GAMING X $1200 (Ships Sep 5): amazon.ca/dp/B08Z72P3R9/

3070 MSRP is USD499, listed CAD657 by Amazon. Accounting for FX rates, that's MSRP.

6700xt for over 1k. That is ridiculous. The reference card MSRP is $604.27.

That's a great price but "We're sorry. This item is no longer available from the seller you selected. We'll move it to the Saved Items section of your Shopping Cart. From there, you can click the item to return to its product information page and try another seller."

Msrp is tricky now since a year ago. All cards are made in china for nvidia, except founders editions. Since canada don't directly import gfx cards and with that tariff in the US for china imports we end up paying that in canada. So a card that launched at 699 usd is now msrp at 874USD, and once you convert that it's the $1179 list price or so. It's all gross regardless how you look at it.

The "MSRP" of AIB cards (especially for AMD, but Nvidia as well) are really far off from the MSRP of founders / reference cards at this point. Sadly they're probably not going down....

I suspect some of these listings are phantoms (pretty sure 2070 Supers aren't being made anymore, for example). Just thought I would share them anyway in case someone succeeds in placing an order, and because Amazon is a pretty "low risk" place to place a pre-order.

Even if these were in stock, you’d stand zero chance against the bots.

only price errors are true deals - such is the philosophy of RFD.
