This isn't all time low though. They've always sold it for a normal price of $39 / $25. This is a fake sale where they bumped up the price up $10 then gave a $10 coupon. Check 3C or Keepa before buying anything.

Keep in mind, not sold by Amazon.

Does it do better than a Hyper 212 Evo or Gammaxx 400s? Both of them are already around the same price regularly.

Edit: Actually I found a review of that vs. a bunch of other similar coolers. Looks like it does pretty well for the money:

probably good for someone doing a new build and need a cheap and efficient cooler
reviews shows the V5 is actually better than the popular Hyper 212

Yeah, in case you want to return or replace the item that matters. Amazon guarantees returns, will cover shipping if there was a problem with the item, and in general offers good buyer protection.

Provided you have prime. Otherwise it takes a lot of convincing to get help.

I have the v5. I paid $30 usd (~$38 cad) from a previous 'sale' someone posted on here. this thing works great in my dell G5, it even screws right into the dell mounting bracket from the stock fan so the motherboard doesn't need to be removed. It also came with spare brackets to add an extra 120mm fan, which I added. Dropped my CPU temp ~10c vs the horrible stock dell cooler.

I've used a Hyper 212 in the past and this seems nearly identical.

Any special adapter required to power this or does it use the same pin out as the stock Dell fan?

standard PWM fan connector. That said, you won't be able to hook up the RGB to anything. In my case, literally, i don't care since it doesn't have a window or anything.

edit: https://vetroo.com/collections/cooler/p ... ooler-v5bk

^ Just buy it directly from their site. its cheaper than amazon.

$29.99USD vs $39.99CAD? It's around the same price, and if it's shipped by Amazon it should arrive quicker than from Vetroo directly. Returns should also be easier if you buy through Amazon, since it would go back to the Amazon.

You might need a special adapter to replace the stock Dell fan. I did when I replaced the fan on my Dell PowerEdge T20 mini server.

A bunch of reviewers are saying the Vetroo V5 is the better option. Check Youtube reviews.

From what I read it is like the gammaxx, a few degrees better than the 212 at 125w loads noise normalized. For something like a 5600x they should all be fine. The big draw is that it isn't as tall as those so it fits into smaller cases like the nr200 with the tempered glass panel and it is easier to install compared to the hyper212 system. I got it a few months ago at the same price for my sama im01 build and it is small enough to keep the side bracket on for an extra fan/ hdd.

In my previous post that you quoted, i confirmed that this does not need a special adapter. both the dell stock fan, and the vetroo use a standard PWM fan connector.

Nice... I know for my T20 I needed this guy to use an aftermarket CPU cooler, otherwise you get alert/warning messages. The adapter suppressed those messages.
