You can also go with the Fieldmaster one as well on sale for $35. Biggest difference is it has a more useful saw rather than a fish descaler, which in all my years of fishing, have never used.

Think I'll pick one up now as an early Xmas present.

Thanks for posting op!

I prefer the larger 111mm blade found in the Rucksack, Hunter (flat back) and Soldier, Hunter Pro Trekker NS, Rescue Tool, Hiker XT (1-handed operation) lines.

Out of all of these, I'd pick the Rucksack - it's $38.85 at Le Baron, and they have no tax days every few weeks.

Hmm good point. I think the saw is more useful than the fish descaler, but my friend is really into fishing and the one OP posted has the little fish logo on it..

Hmmmmmmmm what to do

This, I have never used fish scaler on my SAK for scaling fish and never will, you'll never clean the stink out of it.

Lots of varieties and they are all on sales. Which one is the best or has everything one needs?

I have something very similar to this (not Victorinox, just some no name brand...). It has the pliers but I cannot use the other tools unless I flip the whole thing around and have the pliers exposed... very difficult to use and poor design... completely opposite to the SwissTool
