Depends what you want to do on your 2nd monitor. I have a LG32gk650f now and comparatively this sets the bar high for a great entry level 1440p 144hz monitor for gaming. But I would worry about 250nits and not delivering good color depth especially with darker scenes. On a different note, personally I didn't enjoy a samsung monitor i tried with a 1800R curve unless I was dead center in front of it so I went back to two flat screens.

I have a IPS with 350nits as a 2nd monitor and the picture is a little more pleasing to watch movies on.

If you have 56 inches wide of desktop available (28+28) why not...
For me I'm going to replace my dual 22" monitor setup which spans 40 inches across (20+20).
What's the best credit card for...

1440p on a 32 inch monitor feels a bit pixelated.

might have been better if 1440p on a 27 inch.

In for one thanks!
I have a 32" 1440 already and it looks perfect for my eyes. Hoping a curved monitor next to a straight one won't look too strange?
Will be amazing if it works out!

Will I be able to get full refund if I decide that this monitor isn't for me and I return it?

This supports HDR and a bit cheaper. Feels like a safer bet? Or maybe as a second monitor. Hmmmm
Thoughts?
these monitors arent geared towards the same market. If gaming, mainly fps pick the view sonic. For general content/ video editing /photography/ budget get the ips.
*edit general content viewing will work fine for the viewsonic as well to be honest.

Is there any reason to pick this Viewsonic monitor rather than a TV at the same size and same price range ? Because I'm not sure I will game a lot.

A few different thoughts:
- to everyone asking if this monitor is too large for gaming -> I currently game on a 32 inch and definitely feel that I have to sit further away to make sure I'm taking in the periphery properly
- to everyone asking if this or the Dell -> The Dell is $200 more expensive than this. the Dell has a better stand and may have better accuracy but time will tell. I used the Dell for a few weeks and I was never able to get HDR to work properly across both Nvidia and AMD GPUs so HDR is useless. So I would definitely pick this + add a vesa stand if needed over the Dell.
- I totally thought my next monitor would either be a 27 inch 144hz or a 42inch 4k but this price is too compelling to pass up. I've ordered and will monitor any comparable deals on 27 inch monitors and reconsider.

a tv will get you 4k and probably some sort of smart feature like roku or android built in. the monitor will have lower input lag, faster response time and this is a 144hz monitor. Gaming wise it's pretty easy decision.

Can someone who's into this stuff please tell me if upgrading from this monitor ViewSonic XG2401 would be worth it if I game a lot using a 5700XT ?
