[Amazon.ca] VIOFO A119 V3 Dash Cam - $126.70 (Lowest CCC)

I've been watching this on CCC for a while, this is the lowest price they've seen.

I can't vouch for the quality, but the reviews look good from what I've seen.

Edit:
Looks like I can't post a CCC link? I just took it out.

Oh man! Yes, it looks the same to me, thank you! I guess I ccc'd the wrong listing!

I'll update the title after I cancel my other order!

It looks like one of them comes with a CPL filter, which is why it cost a bit more. It also looks like one is available for shipping right away while the other isn't.

I bought an earlier model of the A119 4 years ago, and it's been fantastic. I like that it's a capacitor model.
Paid almost same price, and mine didn't come with a polarizer that cost another $20.

Cheaper on AliExpress if you don't mind waiting for shipping. It's equal to $114. Hardwire kit is $10 more.

I did a bit of research last month for a dashcam. I narrowed it down to the A119 v3. It seems the consensus is the A119 v3 is better in terms of video quality than the A129. The A129 has wifi which allows you to download the videos far easier. My research led me to understand that if you want a dashcam to simply record in the event of an accident, then go with the A119 v3, but if you're the type to constantly download the videos from your trips and make movies with them, then the A129 might be easier.

Either way, this is a great price for the A119, but I pulled the trigger on the Nextbase 552gw from amazon last week for 149. Maybe I should have waited, but I like the support from Nextbase vs the Viofo. https://www.amazon.ca/Nextbase-522GW-Da ... 2RX57?th=1

Its kind of like sunglasses for your dashcam.

I would say for the purpose of capturing accidents and licence plates its not needed but if you are reviewing footage regularly its nice to have.

What size sd card do you recommend to go with this?

I think folks here are just comparing the A119 v3 to the A129. However, there is also the A129 plus which has a higher resolution at 2K video quality. My impression is that the A129 plus model is the superior model of the A119v3 and A129 line (even better than the A129 pro - which I've read has some sensor and overheating issues and there's been cases of returns with the pro model)
