The reviews were decent when I checked a few months back. I bought this from Dell a few months ago, but still have't opened it. They had it on sale for the same price for several months, but now it's back up to the regular price. I think I ended up paying about $10-15 because I had Dell Rewards dollars.

Has UE fixed their battery problems? The life expectancy of the batteries UE uses is super low. BTW, how do you know it's better sound? Have you listened to both? You're also talking about spending $35 more.AncientWords wrote: ↑ Not sure why you'd buy this when you can get the UE Boom 2 from the Source for $105 and get triple the battery, better sound, Ok Google integration, etc.

As far as battery life goes, the number of recent hits on Google for battery issues is much lower than it was when they first came out, so it's quite possible newer models - such as the 2017 holidays LE - have a better battery. As far as better sound, I should have said 'louder' - this speaker here says max volume is less than 80db, where the Boom 2 hits 90db. If you know how decibels work, you know that going from 80 to 90 is a tenfold increase in sound output and approximately double the volume. Sound quality is an assumption based on brand.

I have the UE Mini Boom, and that had issues with the battery based on what I've read. Fortunately, mine still works without issue, but I didn't really start using it until about a little under two years ago. I use it about 3-5 times a week, for about an 1-2 hours while I workout.AncientWords wrote: ↑ As far as battery life goes, the number of recent hits on Google for battery issues is much lower than it was when they first came out, so it's quite possible newer models - such as the 2017 holidays LE - have a better battery.
