[Amazon.ca] VIVO Dual Monitor Desk Stand (STAND-V002) - $39.99

I actually doubt to many people still need to buy a monitor stand, since we are kind of on our way out of the pandemic, but if you still are, this basic stand is at $39.99 right now.

It's basic...it's fixed height for both monitors. No real frills.

I have two of these for both computer desks. One holds up two 27" Dell monitors and the other is holding up my two 24" Dell monitors.

My 24" monitors use the C-clamp connection while the 27" monitors are using the grommet mount. Both options come with this stand.

I recommend that you have two of the same monitor because it just looks nicer, but you don't need to.

I bought this last June but I wish the maximum height can be a few inches higher for users who are 6' and over.
My eyes are almost at the same level as the top bezel of the monitors when properly seated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the healthiest for your eyes? I remember some ergo therapist at work was arranging our desks and they said you want to always be looking level or downwards on your monitors. Your eyes should not be reaching upwards and your neck should never be arching, based on their advice.

So it's always been strange to see this gaming/streaming trend where ppl have a monitor and a tv mounted above or 2 monitors stacked.

I think with ergonomics...there is a certain level of BS in there. Don't get me wrong, I believe in proper posture and positioning, I believe in reducing strain on your joints (e.g. wrists, neck, spine)...I just think the explanations that they give and the points that "back" up their suggestions can sound like BS.

But that said, I think it is true that you don't really want to be raising your head up / tilting it so your neck is strained back. At the same time, looking too far down is also a strain on your neck. My feeling is that unless you have $$$$ to hire someone to come ergonomically create a custom workspace for you, we are all just doing the best we can with what we have.

For me, my desk is not really large enough to fit my laptop, two monitors (on this stand), external keyboard, mouse pad, drawing pad, headset charging unit, desk lamp and my mug of coffee. Well, it holds all of it, but there is no more space...so wrist support for me is lacking. My desk is also a little high for me, so my feet dangle from my office chair...I believe I need a foot rest to be more ergonomic. I would love something that would be a perfect fit for me. But that's going to cost quite a bit of money.

A lot of ergonomics is just common sense. I had a very wide screen monitor and I found that my neck was strained looking left and right sometimes, so I stopped using it. When my monitor was too high, I could feel my neck straining too. Adapt your environment to what works best for the body, not the other way around.
